WE PROMOTE CREATIVITY AND FUN WITH TECHNOLOGY

Innovative Projects with Education 4.0

Young people who are enthusiastic about technology are the foundation for securing qualified young talents in German companies. To achieve this, it is important to awaken young people’s interest in technology at an early age. In our experience, this is most easily and best achieved by combining fun with the transfer of knowledge and skills. Therefore we focus on learning technical skills on practical training projects in order to optimally and purposefully combine theory and practice. In addition to technical skills, however, such projects also promote the development and expansion of personal skills such as teamwork and project management. This combination is what makes the experience in our modular training projects so invaluable!

VOICES FROM THE PROJECTS

We participated in the SMART GREEN ISLAND MAKEATHON and it was great to see how the Young Talents solved the given challenges in an innovative SMART & GREEN way. The work of the Gerda Stetter Foundation is inspiring and highly appreciated.

With a lot of passion and personal commitment, Dr. Stetter drives digital education forward. He inspires people of all ages with captivating lectures, great exhibits to touch and try out, or the cool LEGO Mindstorms Zoo, with which the Gerda Stetter Foundation tours schools and makes STEM topics tangible even for children.

For me, the Fwip Ice Demonstrator was a great project that I was able to contribute to independently. Together with a senior consultant from ITQ, I upgraded the fwip ice cream machine with the latest robot technology and software so that it can be operated automatically.

The events organized by ITQ, such as MAKEATHONS, are an ideal opportunity for students to apply their technical skills in an innovative and international environment, while at the same time enhancing their teamwork, presentation and agile development method skills.

Each year, in cooperation with the Gerda Stetter Foundation – Technik macht Spaß!, pupils from our Robotics project course take part in the Robolympics with great commitment. In addition to the particularly motivating competition situation, the preparation, which is carried out by students, is also great fun and arouses interest in courses of study and careers in this field.

The “Day of Mechatronics” was a successful event for children, parents and teachers of our school. Many thanks for the enthusiasm with which the children were looked after and introduced to the world of technology! We are firmly convinced that the programming language will find a place in all schools in the near future, and we are happy to be able to pioneer it at our school thanks to the Gerda Stetter Foundation.
