Festival of the Future 2025
Technology workshops at the Festival of the Future
What is it about?
At the Festival of the Future, children and young people have the opportunity to actively explore the world of cutting-edge technologies. The goal is to spark an early interest in technology and digital solutions – and, in the long term, to help address the growing skills shortage in STEM fields.
Through hands-on activities, workshops, and interactive stations, participants experience robotics, programming, and other future-oriented technologies up close. The focus is not only on trying things out, but also on creative problem-solving in teams.
With low-threshold access and playful learning, technical understanding is fostered, confidence in using digital tools is strengthened, and a foundation is laid for lasting interest in STEM careers.
Date & Registration
The Festival of the Future will take place on July 5 and 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Museum Island of the Deutsches Museum in Munich.Admission is free! The booths will be located in the Workshop Area, to the left of the museum entrance.
What is on the agenda?
In our workshops on robotics, programming, and creative tech solutions, children and young people can experience technology up close. Whether it’s LEGO Mindstorms, a digital petting zoo, or a self-built cleaning robot – here, it’s all about getting involved rather than just watching.
Our tech coaches guide participants step by step and show them how to build, program, and playfully bring robots to life.
